Lengerich/Germany, September 2025 – It’s the highlight of the season: the paniculatas are bursting with flowers – the perfect moment for selection. This week, the representatives of Heuger, Kötterheinrich, and breeder Agriom (together forming the Hydrangea Breeders Association, HBA) had great fun in the field; the plants looked absolutely stunning.
During their tour, they selected exciting new paniculata varieties for the Cloud Hydrangea Bloomulus series, an innovative breeding line of paniculatas so compact and floriferous that they can easily be produced and marketed in 14 cm pots. Even at this small size, each plant delivers four to seven abundant flower heads that resemble soft, fluffy cumulus clouds.
